This post is nothing but a rant. I don’t want pity or anything, I just need to rant… Well, and there’s a question at the end, you can just skip my rant 😉

Although it’s the “Golden October” here in Germany, it’s been not so golden for me.

The end of September my mole got removed. Three weeks I couldn’t wash my face decent, three weeks I had to wear a band-aid over the wound, three weeks I couldn’t shower (I took baths). So, three weeks I had limitations which got annoying after a while.

On October 9th I got sick. Nothing bad, just a cold which kept me in bed until Sunday. I felt like sh**, drank tea and water all day long, had a sore throat, a bad headache, my boobs hurt like crazy ((don’t ask me why))… I canceled the seminar I should have visited Monday ((the 13th)) to Wednesday about Apache Tomcat, I wished I could have taken part in it.

On Thursday, October 16th, halfway healthy again, I got my wisdom teeth removed. Luckily, only on one side. I felt like sh** Thursday to Saturday. I could only eat mash, although, I was so hungry all the time ((I have a quite big stomach 🙂 )) that I ate “normal” food as well.

On Sunday, October 19th, my sisters, my nephew, my mom and I had a great day. We ate brunch together and took a walk. Three days later, on Wednesday, my mom was hospitalized due to heavy diarrhea and an allergic attack. She got the wrong antibiotics and got an acute poisoning. I was so worried and felt like sh** again, Wednesday to Friday. I hardly ate (and lost four pounds 🙂 ), cried a lot and felt horrible. My family is the most important thing in life to me and if one of the family members gets sick, I’m terrible worried. Luckily everything went well with my mom, she got about 20 infusions, all the tests the hospital made turned out great and we hope she can get released tomorrow.

On Friday, October 24th, the stitches in my mouth got removed and the “band” the dentist put in my hole, where my bottom wisdom tooth once was, got removed. It felt so yucky! Since Friday my throat hurts again and the wounds in my mouth still hurt a little as well. I’m guessing the sore throat this time is from the wounds in my mouth.

Bah! Oh, and I got my period too and had PMS and a terrible headache last week as well. I’m happy everything is sort of over now and hope to start a great November.

Ah ok, end of all my “problems”, now, I need your opinion. Some of my family members are flying to the States and I begged for a new “Bed in a Bag”. My mom finally said yes (note: the reason she wasn’t so happy about it is that it takes up a whole lot of space in the suitcase) and now I can’t really decide which one I want. What do you think?

After reading that Linens’n Things is closing, I surfed to their site and found all kind of pretty bedding things and soooo cheap. I can even afford it 😀 It’s great. I’m in love with this one, but I’m pretty sure the Lover wouldn’t be too happy about it. *sigh*

Nah, not really bye to happiness, but my mole is gone (yes, this IS exciting news). This mole was part of me for I don’t know how many years, I can’t remember NOT having that mole. It’s been getting a little bigger (not in size, but in “sticking out”) and it was annoying.

On Friday I went to the dermatologist and he said the only thing he can do is cut it out. I was lucky to get an appointment for my mini-op that same day. He injected the mole with anaesthesia and then stabbed around in my face 🙂

Now I’m wearing a huge band-aid (the cut is two centimeters long) and people are staring at me 😀

My girl

How much I loved this movie. I first saw this movie when I was about the age of Vada. I then wanted to be just like her – I dressed like her, acted like her, I made my German friend sing “I told the witchdoctor that I’m in love with you u-u-u-uh…” with me while riding our bikes.

Casper

I thought Casper was a really nice and sad movie. Especially the end, when the deceased mom comes back as a ghost herself. Casper turning into Devon Sawa and walking down the stairs was my favorite scene 🙂

Homeward Bound

Two dogs named Chance and Shadow and a cat named Sassy are left behind when the family that owns them goes on vacation. They are not sure what happened and therefore they have to find the family. An incredible journey is what is next.

Now and Then

How much I would have loved it, if I had friends like that to do things like that. Crazy activities, fun, first love, first kiss… and still be friends when you grow up. What a dream. Very adorable movie which made me sing “Sugar….. oh honey honey” every day.

Black Beauty

In this movie I first noticed the music of Danny Elfman. I named my male rabbit Ginger, after Ginger, the female horse. I cried a lot during this movie, I loved it though. I always wanted a horse like Black Beauty.

This is going to be my first time blogging ((ok, blogging is, in the meantime, a standard word in this era. Why does Firefox still underline is red? Ok, Firefox is also underlined red 🙂 )) about my thesis and how it’s going, is it?

Well, it’s going so lala. I know I need to keep writing on it, but it’s hard with no pressure. My deadline is September 23rd, I assume, which is a lot of time (sort of). BUT, I need to keep at it. It’s not good if I only play with the SAR data and not write about it.

The projects at uni get busier day by day. I try to keep at least one day of the weekend for me (and the lover or friends). This is my schedule:

• Monday
  Work ((by work I mean, I’m at the company where I write my thesis and work on my thesis)) until 1pm, Project Wiki and Podcasting at 2pm until about 4pm.
• Tuesday
  Work until 1pm, Class (business start-up) from 2pm until 3.30pm, eventually Project corporate video after that
• Wednesday
  Work until 3pm, the library until about 6 or 7pm
• Thursday
  same as Wednesday
• Friday
  Work until 3pm, if I’m in the mood then library, if not, home and apartment cleaning
• Saturday
  Meeting with the team for the Project corporate video, eventually working on the Project Wiki and Podcasting
• Sunday
  Eventually working on the Project Wiki and Podcasting, doing nothing 😎

The project corporate video is a project about our university, made from me and five others. It’s fun, a lot of work though. I hope it will turn out good, but well, it has to 😉

The project Wiki and Podcasting is about building a encyclopedia for our uni and about our departments. We got an Apple server today (wee) and I’m responsible for logo design and web design, but also for Wiki and Podcasting. I’ve never created a logo, so I’m happy I’m doing that because that way I get to know Adobe Illustrator a bit better.

Every project I’m working on is a nice extra thing for my resume and I’m happy we get the opportunity.

I went shopping today (yay), I haven’t been in ages (ebay doesn’t count).

I got two lovely Vero Moda tops (in white and in turquoise) (image © Angels-Webshop.nl) and some hot and sexy running pants (image © Nike) 🙂 That’s enough spending money this month. Well, ok, I’m going grocery shopping tomorrow, I’m allowed, I guess. When I’m out of money during the month I normally save on the food and eat products I’ve had for years (or months). Just on Saturday I made noodles with the date of expiry in 2006 :). They still were yummy, of course.

I also still need to think of something for my two winners. I already have one idea, but I need more!!!

I’d also like to get a more springy-y layout up (as seen on this post), the time is not there though. I’m glad I’m still not fed up with this layout.

Flickr announced on April 9th (I think) about the Videos and today, April 11th, I find 56,327 results on “no video” pictures.
