New Layout Needed

…this layout has been up way too long. And it’s way too dark for the nice warm and sunny seasons coming up. BUT I’m still not getting sick of it. That’s a good thing. I was thinking of putting an old layout back up.

and maybe editing them a bit but meh, I don’t know. I’m not too much in the mood to create a new layout at the moment.
So, I renewed schatzi.me for another year 🙂 I’m not getting sick of the domain name either. That’s nice as well. Lilalicious.com and Cuddle-bug.net didn’t last so long.

Are you still happy with your domain name and/or layout and/or everything about your site?

  1. At the moment I am actually pretty happy to both my layout and name (well the name has never been problem for me). But yeah change is good every now and then. I like what you have now (it’s so minimalistic :D) and I like the both of those two earlier layouts too. So I could imagine that both of them can be great base for something new. 😀 Haa can’t wait to see what you will do. 😛 *pressure*

  3. Sometimes editing an old layout can be just as refreshing as a totally new layout! That’s what I did when I switched from guitarangel.net to melly.me and it worked out fab, I think. I always love your cute designs and I also agree with Hanna that those two would be great bases for an “upgrade”, hehe.

    I’m still loving my domain, but I definitely wasn’t happy with my layout or content. Getting all that sorted currently…. 😉

  4. I think that changes are good, I really like the colors and style of the first layout, maybe you can make some changes on it and re-use that, well it depends on you.
    I’m also happy with my site and its content. ^_____^

  5. I have to agree with what everyone said. Your two layouts up there are great to upgrade on. I like the darker one the most, if you don’t mind my opinion. Changing layouts are hard. I kept using the same layout style but change the colors and look. That is what my current layout is using. My name, though, that I cannot say for there is something happening in the future. LOL Anyways, good luck deciding. I am sure that it will be great!

    As for tigerwhispers.com I can’t see Hev without it. Some days I think I want a new domain but then I think again & just can’t do it. As far as the layout goes, I have learned not to say that I am not going to change the layout, cause the minute I do I wind up changing it.

    I’m happy with the domain, but I want to change layouts like all the time however I don’t. I usually change about once a month when I can be bothered to sit down and do something on photoshop.

  8. My layouts been up for almost 2 years I swear. I want to change it and have started designing tons of different layouts but none of them satisfied me so they were never finished.

  9. I absolutely love my domain name. I’ve had it for almost 3 years now, and I don’t think I’ll change it. It doesn’t have the same meaning behind it for me as when I first got it, but it’s transitioned like I have and still totally applies!

    As far as my layouts I change them every few months, assuming I update period. That’s just cause I like making the colors match the seasons!

  10. I think all the layouts you have shown in this post (including the one you are currently using) are great. I don’t feel like you have to change it. But if you were going to choose one of the two, I would choose the first one.

    I am happy with my domain name. I would like to make a new layout but I have been lazy lately. I’ve been reading a book on CSS and picked up some new ideas that I would like to try out in the near future.

  12. I am still happy with my domain name, but I am sooooo over my layout. It has been up for way too long. I started working on a new layout months and months ago. Got busy. Never finished it. Worked on a different layout. Got busy. Never finished it. Now I don’t know what to do. 🙁

    I would love a fresh new layout that is more simplistic with not as much “stuff” on my site. *sighs*

  13. I love that second layout although they’re both really cute. I sometimes use old layouts that I’ve used before. It can be fun and the reason you used them in the first place is because you liked them… y’know?

    I am constantly changing my layout lately. I have been frustrated with my own design skills so I’ve been finding themes that I like and modifying them then getting frustrated that they aren’t personal enough. Go figure.

  14. I’m kinda over my domain name, but I keep it because it’s what everyone is used to. I miss my old domain names 🙁 I should’ve renewed when I had the chance. I don’t like my layout that I had up, so I have a simple layout now that does what it’s supposed to. I like the layout you have up now.

    Anyways, funny you should ask about the layout/domain thing. I’m browsing all the Bees’ layouts right now to get inspired to make a new one. Also, I need a new domain name. But anyone who knows me isn’t surprised that I want to change mine AGAIN! lol
