Professor where?

So, it’s March 15th today meaning, first day of the 6. Semester. The first class was Qualitymanagement, from 8.15am until 9.45am. After that Geomedia, from 10am to 13.15pm. Two classes – one professor.

I arrived at the University Building at about 8am. Friends and I looked at the bulletin board to see if classes got cancelled. Geomedia got cancelled – it first starts next week. Not a bad thing. So we’re walking to the auditorium 115 where the class Qualitymanagement should take place. It’s 8.15am. No professor. It’s 8.30am. No professor. It’s 8.45am. No professor. We go to the secretariat to find out – the professor isn’t here today.

It’s the first day of class and it’s already pissing me off. We have about one professor who will let us know that he is not there. So we, the students know, we don’t have to get up early, we don’t have to drive to class – because the professor let us know HE IS NOT THERE.

BUT – that’s only one professor. The other profs are just not there. Nobody tells us, sometimes a not will hang on the bulletin board, but sometimes, the prof just doesn’t come and we sit there. Not knowing what’s going on.

It annoys me so much. So I got up early this morning to drive to class (I’m lucky I live in Munich close to my buliding – I can go by bike and it takes 15-20 minutes). I drive to the building, wait in the auditorium to realize – I can drive back home.

AARRGGHHHH!!!! I’m soo happy when I’m done with studying. Do you deserve this kind of “service” when you’re paying a lot of money to be able to study?

Beautiful days

The weather here in Munich is just wonderful.

This morning I spent my time located on the balcony. You know, to get a little color. My white pale skin is getting me annoyed slowly. I can hardly imagine that I can sit on the balcony in boxers and a tank top. It’s March! It should be snowing! That reminds me – I definatelly want to see the An Inconvenient Truth starring Al Gore.

The rest of the day I “worked”. I need to get a site done until friday (well, I want to get it done until friday). I coded it in english and german and I’ve created print pages, so it took thrice as long. It’s fun most of the time though.

Right now I’m listening to the new album Pocket Symphony by AIR. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. Their last albums were amazing and this album is a little different. Typical AIR still, very melancholic.
Another group I like at the moment is Peter Bjorn & John. A friend sent me a song by them (young folks) yesterday and now I’m in love with that band.

Class starts the day after tomorrow 🙁 Thursday is the busiest day of the week as per my schedule. I haven’t seen my classmates in six months. Haven’t missed them either.

Oh well, the lover is going to drop by any minute. So I guess I’m going to say goodbye!

Superficial world

Yesterday evening, 22.30, a report on tv. A report about teenage girls wanting plastic surgery.
There was a girl, 19 years old, skinny as can be, saying “My thighs are too fat, I’m soo unhappy“. The mother was against the operation, the daughter justified her decision with “I’m the one who has to run around with thos fat thighs, and mom, I thought you want to see me happy“.

The surgeon was asked what he thinks about the young people nowadays, who want the “perfect” body. He was asked about the 19-year old girl. He answered “Her thighs are going to be a problem with sports bla bla bla…“. Was he serious? The legs of that girl weren’t even touching when she was standing.

That’s when I switched the chanel. Things like that upset me so damn much. PEOPLE like that upset me. People like the stupid brainsick girl, people like the “on the crook” doctor, who only wants his money. Shame on him!

About an hour later my curiosity took me to that chanel with that report again. Another girl, 16 years of age, finding her love handles too fat. Her belly was flat, no fat anywhere, just the normal nice looking feminine “fat”. I assume she probably just wears jeans two sizes too small (which would be size -4 😀 ) and then – of course – it pushes some meat out. But that’s sexy, men like that, it’s normal, it’s YOU!

Superficiality can kiss my ass!

Mac

Today we got our new schedule. It’s not that bad. I don’t know if I expected it to be worse or not. I think so. Starting class almost every day at 9.00 am – what a life 🙂

Stundenplan

Some of the classes will be held every two weeks. I would have preferred on having classes friday morning instead of the afternoons though. But I’m not complaining – it’s all good.

I just recognized today again that I find google ads on personal sites quite ugly and unalluring. Some people do add them quite tricky so that you can’t tell (on a first look) if it’s a google ad. [/END RANDOM THOUGHT]

I’m thinking about getting a new computer. Not now, maybe sometime this year though. The video card of my PC is going all crazy again. I’m turned on by the iMac.
I’m interested from switching to Macintosh, because of the firmness, because it’s great for graphical uses, because of the RAM.

Any Mac users here who can tell me a little?

Back in Munich

Today Alex (the bubby) and I arrived back in Munich – at about 4.30pm.

The last few days were good, yet exhausting. Alex and I had to babysit his niece Jana, who is six years old. But not only did we have to babysit her, but also three cats, one dog, two guinea pigs and two mice.

Alex and I both came to the conclusion that we don’t want any pets. He went out with the dog in the morning, I took care of the household. Jana was in school. At noon-time Alex and I made lunch. In the afternoon we went out with the dog. At 6.00 pm we made dinner, at 7.00 pm Jana went to bed, at about 10.00 pm Alex went out with the dog again.

The cats were annoying. As soon as I went into the kitchen, three cats were sitting behind me. They are house cats, so they are there – all the time. And it’s not a big apartment. And hair… ALL over. I had to vacuum the apartment about three times a day. I didn’t mind, but argh – annoying. Especially if you’re not used to cats. And dogs. And other small pets.

Alex and I got along well in our little family. Tough. And adventuresome.

Gone a few days

That catering job I did today is a job I’d never ever do for a living. I could never work in the gastronomy, nope, not my thing.

Lucky there are people like my sister who love jobs like that.

A press conference took place in a big store in Munich today and so I walked around with a tray in (better say “on”) my left hand and napkins in my right hand. Everything went fine, but after about 30-40 minutes my left arm started to shiver, seeing my strength decreased more and more and more.

Stressful four hours of work. The last half an hour we had to wait on the people who still wanted to eat/drink something decent. That was the “fun” part.

Tomorrow the lover and I are leaving for Stuttgart. We’re going to stay there until sunday. We are babysitting his niece who is six years old, seeing her parents are out of town. How nice, we’re going to be a little family 😀 Aawww…. plus there is one dog and three cats, so actually it’s a big family.

Now I’m going to go to bed. I’m dead tired, my arm hurts, my eyes too, seeing for work we got the makeup done by stylists and they exaggerated extremely. Hehe, after the girl was done with putting makeup on me I looked into the mirror and thought “ugh…”. Oh well, after work I removed all of it so I guess four hours of “hardcore” eye-makeup were ok. My feet hurt. I guess I’m grumpy 😉
