Sunday was a nice relaxing day.
I spent the noon at my friends house who just had a baby. In the afternoon I rested in the sun on my parents patio. At 5pm my parents and I had dinner and after that my dad brought me to the train station.
Unfortunately I missed the train at 18.04 because I forgot something at home and we had to turn around (I’m forgetful, very).
So, in Kirchseeon, I had to wait 20 minutes for the next train. It wasn’t bad, seeing I had my Cellphone with it’s 30mb card in it with me 😀 I listened to FEIST, Portishead, Lily Allen, Weezer, Manfred Mann, Jimmy Hendrix, The Cure and The Coral (wow, eight songs baby!!). I took the train until the outskirts of Munich, then switched to take the underground into the city. Just, unfortunately, I couldn’t take metro#1 because it was so damn full with Indian people and Japanese. There was some sort of India/Japan exposition in Munich and 7pm was probably the time everybody left. The metro was soo full, I really wasn’t in the mood to squeeze into it (I had a big bag and a backpack with me too). So i waited another 7 minutes until the next one came. It was full, very full, but I didn’t have to squeeze. I just got in and stood in the middle of 5 Indian People chatting 🙂 There was no other place I could go. Sales engineer was the title of the guy standing 10cm before me.
After a while the metro had less people. There was a 9 year old (about that age) kid standing in front of me, he was “holding tight” to the bar in the train, but he was also goofing around. So, whilst goofing around he lost his balance, tried to catch himself with his arms and slapped me so hard in my face. I just stood there, mouth open, shocked… i couldn’t even say anything. He just looked at me as well, said nothing. After a few seconds I did give him a dirty look though. Oh man, I was so pissed (not only at that boy) – but at the whole situation. Munich being soo damn full on a Sunday. I was quite happy when I got home, into my little apartment, where I have my peace.
On Sunday, my husband and I just did well practically nothing for most of the day. He slept in until 2 and I went shopping around noon. I picked up some food on the way home for us to eat at our house and then just was lazy for the rest of the day. Well we did eventually take the pup out for a ride to pick him up some more puppy treats and that was it. Sundays are our super lazy days to prepare for the next work week. Peace is always good within your own dwelling =)
I enjoy nice quiet Sundays at home, too. I seriously hate going out on Sundays. Too many people!
As far as that kid goes, I would probably have said something to him.. I don’t understand though, was he alone? Because where were his parents?? At that age, why would he be alone on a bus or train or anything of the sort? Hmph.
I take two trains to work everyday and the second train is always crammed with people EVERYDAY. So. I know how frustrating it is. I almost always NEVER get to sit during that route and I have a lot of metro train angst: people who move slow, people who hog poles and rails, people who are loud, people who squeeze in already full trains etc etc. Argh.
two weeks ago i went to amsterdam on a Sunday morning. girl, i can feel your pain!
