I got sick of the busy layout two layouts ago – I made a simple dark layout – I didn’t like it, it was unfriendly and I didn’t want to look at my site – I create another “busy” layout which you are looking at now. At least it is friendly. 🙂
I got inspired by this shirt I bought (move your eyes to the left). At the moment I can’t find my camera, so I’m posting this hot stranger. Well, the t-shirt itself didn’t inspire me – the colors did. I sat infront of the PC, opened Photoshop, double clicked on the color, looked at my shirt, looked at the colors in Photoshop 🙂 I think it turned out quite ok, no?
I have two blog entries as drafts: Dream Cheating and The messynator. Explaining the first title – I had a dream a few days ago that Alex needed to earn money and I made the suggestion that he should work as a callboy and sleep with other women. Long dream short – in the end I didn’t want him to sleep with other women. Argh, I hate it when I dream of him cheating. I’ve dreamt that more often, let’s say about … three times in two years of our relationship.
About the latter post title – seeing I’m so busy with class right now my apartment is taking over… ME! The mess rules, the mess has total control over me. I am was good with cleaning the dishes, but now they’re just one big pile. I have piles of papers on my couch (my couch btw, turned into a closet and desk) which I need to organize – soon.
Ooh, if I had money I’d get a cleaning woman. I hope I’ll dream about that tonight…
Oh I like it. The tabs especially, but the slight texture you have to the circles is a great touch.

Initially, I thought, “Wow, this is boring AND stuff is popping outside boundaries!” But then I reloaded and I’m seeing the new theme. 🙂 Looks good except for a couple areas: the comment textarea sticks out beyond the edge of the main area, and the calendar looks a little strange with its gradient beveled look since nothing else in the layout is beveled. I really like the main navigation tabs; I haven’t seen them done that way before, and it’s cool.
Nice 😀 I love the colors, I always thought that pastels went well together, and not that many people incorporate brown. (Which I think is a mistake on their part cause it’s a perfect neutral color.) I hate dreaming about my man cheating too, it makes me wake up mad at him until I realize that it was just a dream, lol.
Haha, the same thing happened to me with my last layout – i looked at my shirt saying “President Evil” in a wild west font, and that’s how it all started 😉

As Sarah mentioned; the textbox goes over the edge of the layout.
I love the new layout! I have two suggestions, though: First, I’d “flatten” the calendar. The rest of the layout is flat so I’d get rid of the beveled look to the calendar. Second, I’d use a different color for your italic text because the pale blue on white is hard to read. Other than that, this is one of my favorites of yours.
i like it alot! The colors are really pretty and go very well together. I need to learn wordpress better i cannot do anything with it right now besides customize other people’s themes.
That dream is normal. Ive had it before. I have a theory that i believe in about dreams and most of the time it’s true. Dreams are made of either one of these.

I love your explanation of how you got the inspiration of how this layout came about. It’s so cute and well unique that a shirt and its colors made such an impact on you. You did a great job. My husband and I have to do a super duper good cleaning job over this weekend since we have someone coming to deep clean our carpet next Tues. I sooooooo hate cleaning, too and I used to work for Merry Maids… yeah ummm ick to that job.
